it could be a simple production issue they have yet to fix or they are simply ignoring it or they are simply mixing old product with new in order to save money I do not know but the end result is a slightly bitter milk,I sat down after washing my mouth out and rising a few times with water to get a clean feel/taste in it,I sat down and opened up a fresh gallon I got and behold it is slightly bitter I can drink it since its better than most 2% still but still....this seems to be a problem no one is dealing with.
